  1. Compatibility Issues:
    • WordPress Version: Ensure that the plugin is compatible with your WordPress version. Outdated plugins may not work correctly with the latest WordPress updates.
    • Theme Compatibility: Some themes may conflict with certain plugins. Check if the plugin works well with your chosen theme.
    • Plugin Conflicts: Plugins can conflict with each other. Deactivate other plugins one by one to identify if one of them is causing the issue.
  2. Configuration Errors:
    • Incomplete Setup: Ensure that you’ve configured the plugin correctly. Missing settings or incorrect configurations can lead to problems.
    • API Key: Double-check that you’ve entered the API key and any other required information accurately.
    • WooCommerce Tax Settings: Under Tax Options, we recommend the following settings:
      • Calculate tax based on: “Customer shipping address”
      • Shipping tax class: “Shipping tax class based on cart items”WooCommerce Tax Options
      • For Local Pickup, please enter your store address in your WooCommerce Settings.
  3. Performance Issues:
    • Slow Loading: If your website is loading slowly after installing a plugin, it might be due to a poorly coded or resource-intensive plugin. Consider alternatives or optimizing your site.
    • Resource Usage: Check if the plugin is consuming excessive server resources, which can affect site performance.
  4. Errors and Messages:
    • Error Messages: Pay attention to error messages that the plugin generates. These can provide clues about what’s wrong.
    • Debugging Mode: Enable WordPress debugging mode to capture more detailed error messages.
  5. Plugin Updates:
    • Ensure that the plugin is up to date. Developers release updates to fix bugs and enhance features. Running an outdated plugin can lead to issues.
  6. Browser Compatibility:
    • Some issues may be specific to certain web browsers. Test your site with different browsers to ensure compatibility.
  7. Conflicting Code:
    • If you’ve customized your website’s code, conflicts can occur when a plugin updates. Review your customizations for compatibility.
  8. Security Concerns:
    • Ensure that you download plugins only from trusted sources like the WordPress Plugin Repository. Using plugins from unverified sources can pose security risks.
  9. Plugin Documentation and Support:
    • Read the plugin’s documentation thoroughly to understand its features and troubleshooting guidance.
    • Reach out to the plugin developer’s support team or community forums if you encounter persistent issues.
  10. Backup and Restore:
    • Always back up your website before installing or updating plugins. If a plugin causes significant issues, you can restore your site to a previous state.
  11. Server Configuration:
    • Sometimes server settings can interfere with plugin functionality. Check with your hosting provider for any server-related issues.
  12. JavaScript Conflicts:
    • JavaScript conflicts can cause unexpected behavior. Use browser developer tools to identify and resolve JavaScript errors.
  13. Caching and Optimization Plugins:
    • If you use caching or optimization plugins, they might interfere with the functionality of other plugins. Configure them to exclude specific pages or scripts if needed.

If issues persist, please submit a support ticket to the Taxify Colorado team.
